Furlanes made with Galuchat skin. The Galuchat is the tanned skin of the shark Scyliorhinus canicula also called catfish or ray. Due to its high production cost it is used in the luxury sector. It is named after its first user, Jean-Claude Galuchat a French craftsman who died in 1774 who was in the service of King Louis XV. Galuchat leather is a very rigid, hard and resistant type of leather and can last a very long time, it is not afraid of water or even fire. Each skin reveals a pearly mosaic texture, always different with particular color nuances from blue-gray to olive green and magnetic ivory reflections. Given the particular nature of this leather, there may be perceptible differences in the nuance between one shoe or one fit and the other, they represent a characteristic and not a defect.
